Chomsky ရဲ ့တည္တန္.မွု
The intellectual tradition is one of servility to power, and if I didn't betray it I'd be ashamed of myself.
Noam Chomsky

Kindred Spirit
Day after day, we keep faith and pray
A strong belief that justice will prevail
Some of us got killed and some were jailed
Still we think of them each day
Kindred spirits all the way
In life, fear seems real
Such mind is still uncivil
O Dear God
Utopians or dystopians you brought upon us
Regardless who they are, we'll rid of their ruthlessness
Eager to see out the fight
Learders have persevered till their demise
Elders and youths, together in for ultimate prize
Continue to fight for our rights
Till the truth comes to light
Equality and justice is our plight
Do it or die, the belief is not contrived
Liberty and justice for all
Everyone shall respect the law
Activists have exemplified for us all
Dear God, let no more martyr fall
Everyone involved is standing tall
Raring to find peace for all

Stand, Demand and Hold
Some of us are women
Some us Are men
It does not matter who we are
It all comes down to how each of us stand
The weak shows no sign of intimidation
The strong shows no sing of arrogance
Whatever they are, we are all mortal kind
The strength is what we need, not we must have
Fortitude and honesty
Is what counts when survival demands
The truth is that honesty never really counts
And, fortitude never mattered
For most of the time, the brutal and the merciless took hold
Time after time, the justice is never served
The people is ignored and freedom is denied
O Dear Lord, If you're watching
May all the tears be washed away
And, may the truth be brought upon us

Freedom From Fear
FREEDOM FROM FEAR
Fighters for freedom shall stand together
Regardless of merciless storm and weather
Endless sacrifice and endless pain
Everyday it reminds us to not refrain
Democratic change is all we desire
Once it begun, the struggle will not be tired
Mingalabar we greet, truth and justice is all we preach
Fellow friends and belivers
Reunite together to counter evildoers
On our watch, we hope and pray
May the truth and justice prevail
Fear is a habit, I am not afraid
Extend this mindset to youngsters and peers
A lady once said that uncivility and fear goes together
Retain this notion till we wither

The Bravery of Being Out of Range by Roger Waters You have a natural tendency To squeeze off a shot You're good fun at parties You wear the right masks You're old but you still Like a laugh in the locker room You can't abide change You're at home on the range You opened your suitcase Behind the old workings To show off the magnum You deafened the canyon A comfort a friend Only upstaged in the end By the Uzi machine gun Does the recoil remind you Remind you of sex Old man what the hell you gonna kill next Old timer, who you gonna kill next I looked over Jordan and what did I see Saw a U.S. Marine in a pile of debris I swam in your pools And lay under your palm trees I looked in the eyes of the Indian Who lay on the Federal Building steps And through the range finder over the hill I saw the front line boys popping their pills Sick of the mess they find On their desert stage And the bravery of being out of range Yeah the question is vexed Old man what the hell you gonna kill next Old timer who you gonna kill next Hey bartender over here Two more shots And two more beers Sir, turn up the TV sound The war has started on the ground Just love those laser guided bombs They're really great For righting wrongs You hit the target And win the game From bars 3,000 miles away 3,000 miles away We play the game With the bravery of being out of range We zap and maim With the bravery of being out of range We strafe the train With the bravery of being out of range We gain terrain With the bravery of being out of range With the bravery of being out of range We play the game With the bravery of being out of range [Lyrics from LyricsMode] |

To put the long story short, I got punked. Just when I thought everything's going smooth, out of nowhere, all my applications stopeed working. Firefox? Gone. Wtf... Eclipse? Gone. Google Chrome? Gone. Even the Visual Studio I used for my last semester is now history. I haven't touched that in over two months! If there is a 911 for a situation like this, I'll be sure to report the effing culprit. But, there's no such service for a free-loading, typical PC user like me. At least I can't afford it anyway.
So, after finished scratching my head from this totally unwholesome experience, I decided that it is the best to flush out the remaining shambles of little-to-no-use-at-all software plus the amazing Windows 7 pro, and reinstall the whole thing plus the applications all over again. Not to mention, there is a fully working Linux on the same hard disk, that I now need to format entirely. Meaning, it's a double blow. Oh well, here goes the story of a gullible computer user. Security-aware? Yes. But, dilligent enough to keep that security up for protection? I'm just not sure whether to think of myself as just being naive or gullible.
Anyways, it took a whole of two hours to reformat, and install Windows 7. Also pretty much finished setting up for re-installing new version of Fedora Core. Not a bad effort I must say though, thanks to the high-speed internet connection we get here at student village.

Now, I can't really name the real culprit here. But it's a software package that has something to do with keyboard driver for writing Burmese font. To write some Burmese texts on this blog, I decided to use a few different keyboard drivers just to test them. Turned out, I can use all of them for writing, but when the text is posted on the blog, they all turned to rubbish, and I decided not to use those drivers at all again.
Well, the damn thing decided not to leave peacefully and decided to leave some empty space on my hard disk. It cleared out roughly about 25G of application files in total. And here I am writing about all of it feeling like a cat just slipped into a toilet and just climbed up from the whole mess.

Blowing in the wind
At 5 in the morning, just lying in my bed thinking about life here in Oz. It's a different world than the one I was born and grew up in. There was a time I thought, "This is it! This is going to be my life here in this little town called Taunggyi. And spent the rest of my life here.", but it turned out that I lived there for only the first nineteen years there.
The need to find further education and better life make me come to Australia.
The first few years went quite quickly. Started attending Introductory Computing Courses at a technical college. Worked part-time and earned my living that way. And I never thought that on a morning like this, I would be thinking about wanting to go back to Burma. I'm not a sentimental type, but a imaginative one.
Now that I've been here for almost a decade, I can't think of better place to live and work for the foreseeable future. Now studying at university towards an undergraduate degree. Hopefully a rewarding learning experience both for my career and life. Intending to live and work here for some time. Making my home away from home. Also making some bucks. Try to fit in with the flow of this materialistic world. Money talks everywhere. It buys influence. It makes you think you are God.
Some says "Money can't buy happiness". My instinct tells me otherwise. Maybe, money solves our problems and makes us feel so good that the feelings of relief from troubles and the joy of carefree moments make you delusional enough to think that what we are experiencing is the true happiness.
May be I AM that delusional. Maybe I'm just rumbling. But, I do hope it's a productive day today.

I am mine
Picked up my guitar and started playing some old songs again. It's been a while that I've stopped plying any music. Thought of a good song. "I Am Mine" by Pearl Jam. Took a few practice to get the melody right. Like the tune. And the lyrics. This post makes me want to go get an Ipod or some portable mp3 player, just so that I can listen to some of my old tunes that I've been collecting over the years. Boy, I need some new music!
Back to the song. I still need to remember all the parts for the bridge and the chorus. And the lyrics too. Here's the lyrics from lyricsfreak.com, followed by youtube video.
I AM MINE
By Pearl Jam
The selfish, they're all standing in line
Faithing and hoping to buy themselves time
Me, I figure as each breath goes by
I only own my mind
The North is to South what the clock is to time
There's east and there's west and there's everywhere life
I know I was born and I know that I'll die
The in between is mine
I am mine
And the feeling, it gets left behind
All the innocence lost at one time
Significant, behind the eyes
There's no need to hide
We're safe tonight
The ocean is full 'cause everyone's crying
The full moon is looking for friends at hightide
The sorrow grows bigger when the sorrow's denied
I only know my mind
I am mine
And the meaning, it gets left behind
All the innocents lost at one time
Significant, behind the eyes
There's no need to hide
We're safe tonight
And the feelings that get left behind
All the innocents broken with lies
Significance, between the lines
(We may need to hide)
And the meanings that get left behind
All the innocents lost at one time
We're all different behind the eyes
There's no need to hide

Hello blogger.com
My first blog post. Can't use Myanmar font here. At least not yet.
Reading up help on how to blog using different language.
A bit new to blogging. Will try to update/post as frequent as possible. But with no useless/lame posts.
Next post will be (hopefully) in Burmese. :)
